About

G’day! I’m Sam, the maker behind SAMade.

Handcrafting has always been part of who I am. I had a sewing needle in hand before I even started school, thanks to my stylish, well-travelled grandmothers. Since then, whether at home, on the road, or competing internationally, I’ve always had a project on the go. Sewing has always been my way of making the ordinary extraordinary. I live for that joyful “ta-da!” moment when a creation comes to life!

Travel and sport have shaped how I think about design. From competing at the Olympics to riding a motorcycle from the UK to Kazakhstan, I’ve learned the value of well-made pieces that carry stories, not just stuff.

Today, I work with discarded and overlooked materials, transforming them into one-of-a-kind, functional pieces for people, homes, and businesses. Each piece is practical, considered, and made to be used.

I work across one-off commissions and larger collaborations, partnering with individuals, brands and organisations. I’m constantly inspired by the materials that come my way, and the potential they hold to be reimagined into something unexpected.

Let’s create your “ta-da!” moment.
